A native of northeast Florida, Ms. Bird joined the firm in 2002. Prior to attending law school, she spent twenty years practicing as a Registered Nurse in clinical and administrative positions for hospitals and home health care providers. Ms. Bird's practice focuses on the defense of medical malpractice suits and the representation of medical professionals with matters before the Department of Health and the Boards of Medicine and Nursing.

In addition to Ms. Bird's defense of medical personnel, she defends nursing home malpractice, products liability, personal injury, premise liability, road construction accidents and other civil actions. Her experience in the medical field allows her to analyze and understand complex medical issues as well as defend the legal issues of a case.
