Boyd & Jenerette Partners Kristen Van der Linde and Mark Eckels were recognized as Jacksonville's Best Lawyers in the April 2013 edition of Jacksonville Magazine. The 'Best Lawyers' selection was determined by The Best Lawyers in America and The Florida Bar. The partners were recognized in the following areas:

Boyd & Jenerette Partner Elizabeth Howard will speak at the American Bar Association Forum on the Construction Industry's 2013 spring meeting. Ms. Howard will speak on 'Ethical and Effective Ways to Identify and Network at Events and Conferences'.
Ms. Howard along with Amy Phillips of Arcadis U.S. Inc., will discuss the ABA rules that limit the marketing abilities of lawyers and how to successfully avoid violating them.
Ms. Howard serves as Boyd & Jenerette's Construction Law Practice Group leader and is Board Certified in Construction Law.

Boyd & Jenerette Partner Elizabeth B. Howard has been appointed to be a Barrister in The Chester Bedell Inn of Court, for a three year term 2012-2015. The Chester Bedell American Inn of Court was Florida’s first Inn and the fourteenth in the nation, founded in 1985 in Jacksonville.
American Inns of Court are designed to improve the skills, the professionalism, and the legal ethics with which the bench and the bar perform their functions. As a Barrister, Ms. Howard will assist the Inn of Court in helping lawyers become more effective advocates, with a keener ethical awareness, by providing them with opportunity to learn side-by-side with the most experienced judges and lawyers in their communities.
Ms. Howard is head of our firm’s construction practice group and is BV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating possible for an attorney with less than 10 years of practice. She is active in the American Bar Association, Forum on the Construction Industry; Associated Builders and Contractors; and is on the Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Bar Association. Ms. Howard was voted a Florida Trend Magazine “Up & Comer” in 2008 and 2010 and a Florida Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for Construction Litigation 2009-2012.

Congratulations to Boyd & Jenerette Partner Elizabeth Howard for being elected to a 2 year term on Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Bar Association!
Ms. Howard has been on the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Section since 2006 and has held several positions on the Board, serving as Treasurer, Secretary, President-Elect, and this past year as President. Along with her activities with the local Bar, she is active in the ABA Construction Forum, the Florida Bar Construction Law Committee, and the local chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.
The Jacksonville Bar Association plays an extremely important role in the legal community, as well as to the entire Jacksonville community. It offers many opportunities for its members, including Continuing Legal Education and networking. Serving on the Board of Governors, Elizabeth's goal is to continue to build on these aspects of The JBA, but to also work on making The JBA more user-friendly and encouraging all members to be actively involved.
