Mattox and Nelson v. Dad and Daughter, Inc.

Andrew Abramovich successfully had Defendant Dad and Daughter, Inc., released from a law suit in which the Plaintiff's decedent was a passenger of a car when it was in an accident with a vehicle owned and leased by Dad and Daughter, but was driven by the lessee of the vehicle. Andrew Abramovich proved that under the Graves Amendment, owners of motor vehicles that rent or lease those vehicles to others are not vicariously liable under state law for damages arising from the use, operation, or possession of those vehicles during the rental or lease period.
