Since being admitted to Florida Bar in 2001, Ms. Carbone has practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation defense, employment law, business and liability law. Prior to joining Boyd & Jenerette, P.A. in 2009, Ms. Carbone was the Managing Shareholder of a statewide firm. She is rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, its highest rating. Ms. Carbone was named "Rising Star" by Florida Super Lawyers magazine(2010), named “Top Lawyer” by 904 Magazine in workers’ compensation in 2012 and selected as a ‘2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Labor & Employment’ by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell .

Over the years, Ms. Carbone has represented numerous insurance carriers and third party administrators including AIG Claim Services, Amtrust Insurance, Publix Risk Management, Specialty Risk Services, State of Florida Risk Management, John’s Eastern, Ameritrust, Meadowbrook, Gallagher Bassett Services, Broadspire, Sedgwick Claims Management, Summit Claims Center and Travelers Insurance.

She has also represented numerous Florida employers such as Baptist Hospitals, Northrup Grumman, Publix, University of North Florida, Outback Steakhouse, National Express Corporation and Manpower International.

Ms. Carbone is a committee member with the Jacksonville Humane Society, and volunteers for Jacksonville Area Legal Association (JALA). She completed the 2008 NYC marathon and the National Breast Cancer Marathon twice and often participates in road races that benefit various charitable organizations.

Publications and Seminars

Ms. Carbone is an active writer and lecturer. She published “The Florida Workers’ Compensation Tight Rope Challenged” in the ABA/Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section Committee Newsletter in 2008. She also authored multiple articles in the Florida Workers’ Comp Reporter in 2004, 2005 and 2007 entitled “Florida Employers have Responsibility to Reimburse Medicare,” “Family Medical Leave Act and Same Sex Marriage Laws” and “2003 Legislative Changes and Impact on Insurance Premiums.” Ms. Carbone has lectured on behalf of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Florida Bar and at various Continued Education Seminars. She is a Certified Instructor of Insurance Education for the State of Florida and often presents seminars to clients.
